Beloved ladies and gentlemen, members of the Great White Brotherhood, I greet you in the name of all life and light, which you have pledged yourselves to serve. This cause has been dear to my heart for many centuries and is now shared with you. Yet a cause by itself is not sufficient—it must become an effect if it is to manifest as a blessing to life.

In the realm of causation—the First Realm, which it is our privilege and honor to represent—the divine ideas of the universal are born. From this Universal First Cause we draw what is known as the will of God.

To attempt to describe the will of God to the finite mind is like trying to describe the galaxies of the heavens to a child of eighteen months. Every member of the Spiritual Hierarchy and the Great White Brotherhood—those who are God-free members of this august body—has accepted the personal obligation and responsibility of nurturing, developing, and bringing to maturity some portion of that divine will. The causative center, magnetized within their consciousness, must be nourished, expanded, and externalized upon whatever plane is destined to receive the benefit of God’s will.

A Cause Must Have an Effect

At present, you function within the physical appearance world. It is this physical plane that we are primarily addressing, for here lies the work of raising the vibratory action of the Earth and her evolutions until they attain their true God-estate.

From the Universal First Cause, I have accepted a sacred commission—a portion of God’s will itself. This portion of the will of God was to release beloved Sanat Kumara, along with every guardian spirit, every angelic being, every deva, every force of nature, and every director of those beings who voluntarily exiled themselves from their own natural evolutionary path. These great beings chose to remain in the solar system, holding a permanent place for this planet, so that Earth would not be abandoned.

Now, while such dedication is indeed praiseworthy, you must understand: a cause by itself is never enough. A cause must become an effect. For this to happen, the cause must be embodied in the consciousness of those who dwell within the realm that is to be uplifted. A cause becomes an effect when its vision, idea, pattern, or plan is clothed in thought and feeling, carried within the mind of the one who holds that vision.

It is not enough merely to conceive the idea—it must be animated by energy. This occurs when voluntary lifestreams are stirred from their long slumber, shaken free from lethargy, and moved by the burning zeal of their own hearts. With enthusiasm and with devotion, they set their very life-force into action, performing the practical activities that advance the cause in the world of form. Only in this way does the lofty divine cause become a tangible, living effect in the world.

And so I say to you: you are such people. You are the ones to whom I have entrusted my cause. You are, in this present moment, the very effect of that cause. And tomorrow, you will become an even greater effect—expanding its power and reach. Furthermore, as you embody the cause and make it real in your own lives, you in turn become new causative centers. Each time you transfer this vision into the consciousness of another—whether man, woman, or child—through the written word, the spoken word, or through any medium of radiation that you have cultivated, you are extending the cause. You are impressing the outer consciousness of others with something of what we are striving to accomplish in this great cosmic movement.

You Will Stand Where I Stand Now

I have endeavored to draw forth what I call a “bridge of energy”—a living current that flows from the Ascended Masters’ Realm directly into your world. Through this bridge, your outer consciousness may be made aware of the present endeavors of the Ascended Masters, the angelic host, the Spiritual Hierarchy, and all those who labor to advance the will of God as it concerns your planet.

This bridge of energy has been anchored within you. It has been firmly planted in your consciousness, in your mental and feeling worlds, in your etheric bodies, and even into your very flesh. Into each of these levels of your being we have poured the energy of our lives, charged with all the persuasive power that we can place behind it. We have done this to ensure that you can sense, grasp, and respond to the call.

The extent to which your consciousness can reach out and embrace this vision will determine how much of it you can embody. The capacity of your mind to imagine what it would mean for the entire human race to awaken to the presence of the Elder Brothers and Sisters, and to willingly abide within the instruction given by them—this capacity is critical. Your ability to conceive of such vast possibilities will directly shape the enthusiasm and zeal of your feeling world. And in turn, that zeal will govern the cooperation of your physical body, enabling it to become a vessel through which we ourselves may work and even appear incarnate.

We speak to your outer minds across the veil of maya, through words and thoughts. But we speak to your hearts through feeling, for the heart is ever closer to truth. Know that we are not the first to attempt to present a cause of merit to the often lethargic consciousness of mankind, and surely we will not be the last. Yet you must understand this: you will follow us.

One day, you too shall stand where I stand now—in a body of electronic light. And like me, you will find that your bridge into the world of form depends upon the voluntary cooperation of unascended beings, confused and distracted as they may be, who may or may not respond according to the pressures of daily life. In that moment, you will realize my present position, not by concept alone but by direct experience.

It is only when a child becomes a parent that he truly comprehends the love, care, tenderness, and wisdom that once seemed, in childhood, mere foolishness. So it is in the spiritual life. As you grow into spiritual maturity—into the full stature of spiritual manhood and womanhood—you will come to understand the weight and challenge of attempting to reach three and a half billion souls with only a handful of earnest students. Earnest they may be, sincere and willing indeed, yet still a handful when measured against the vast multitudes of Earth.

This is the position in which I stand. And this is the position in which you shall one day stand yourselves.

Why The Bridge Activity Was Founded

While you were singing about forswearing Nirvana, I too stood once at a fork in the road. In that moment of choice, I often wondered why I took the turn that I did. Yet my choice was not unlike yours. In the quietude and harmony of your own rooms, you sometimes wonder why you have accepted upon yourselves obligations that bring so little in the way of outward gratitude or thanksgiving.

And yet—if any one of you were truly given the opportunity to release your hand from the plow, I believe there is not one among you who would relinquish it. No—you would keep your hand to the plow, you would continue furrowing that field through to the end. And though the effort may appear long and weary, the seed will be planted, the crop will take root, and the harvest will grow—because of you, the pioneers of life.

Blessed friends of eternal life and light, how can I fully describe to you the Earth, with her millions upon millions of years of living? Consider what she has given to you. From her bosom you have drawn the substance that clothed your bodies, nourished them, and sustained them. You have bathed in her blue lakes and refreshed yourselves in the waters of her springs. You have found new hope in the rising sun, inspiration in the mountain peaks pointing heavenward, and peace in her green meadows.

Earth! Ah, so sweet! Upon her you have heard the song of birds and the voice of friendship. Upon her sands you have seen the footprints of time, written by the immortality of her being. Would any of you willingly relinquish her to nothingness—with all her memories, her temples, her shining pyramids, her lakes, oceans, and plains?

No! There is not one among you who would not endure privation, hardship, or sacrifice to ensure that another Earth might be sustained within this solar system. So it was with beloved Sanat Kumara. Though he had not known the sweetness of Earth’s joys or even the sorrows and pains that lead to maturity, still he felt the same love. Out of that love the Great White Brotherhood was formed. Out of that same vow a new endeavor has been created—to transform a divine cause into a manifest effect within the world of form.

This, then, is why the Bridge to Freedom was founded.

Belief in Your Capacity

I must tell you something about myself: I am a persevering gentleman. That quality is part of my nature, and I forewarn you of it so you may understand our association. I believe firmly in the capacity to follow through to the end. When you declare that you are my friend, when you share in my cause, I will remind you—again and again, as often as it takes—until that cause becomes an effect.

And what is the effect I seek? A self-luminous planet! A world that radiates with light, shining as brightly as the sun at noonday. This luminous planet will be composed of individuals whose own light bodies are self-radiant, just as the bodies of the Ascended Beings shine with the pure electronic substance of light. That same light, drawn from the electrons of their beings, gives them their brilliance.

So I say to you: let your light shine! Cultivate self-luminosity! When you develop that inner radiance, your light becomes part of the Earth’s aura. When enough of her children attain such luminosity, the Earth herself will shine so brightly that even the Karmic Board will declare: “It is enough! Already the Earth glows with light. Already her song joins the Music of the Spheres. Already her people have completed a work too long delayed.”

But for this effect to occur, there must be no delay. Everyone always desires more time. Yet I say: time is now! Do not wait for tomorrow—act in this instant. Procrastination has been the cause of more lost continents, more destroyed golden ages, more delays of victory, than any other single habit of mankind. Procrastination is the thief of fulfillment. The average man does not begin to put his soul in order until he stands at the brink of the grave. Throughout his life he procrastinates—enjoying the fleeting pleasures of the senses, postponing to “tomorrow” what can and should be done today. But tomorrow never comes.

Hear me well: if you can become self-luminous in a hundred years, you can become self-luminous now. If you can be free at the close of a lifetime, you can be free this moment. The only limit is your acceptance and your willingness to act without delay.

Your Center of Power

I wish now to speak on a subject that may not yet be fully clear to you. At the throat is located a great spiritual center—a chakra that serves as the focus of your power. As you already know, the power of manifestation is released through the spoken word. That power, however, does not originate in the throat itself. It is drawn from your Causal Body, the great storehouse of all the good you have ever generated throughout your many lives.

The Causal Body, radiant with its concentric rings of color, can be focused through the throat center. When aligned, that power flows outward through the spoken word—through decrees, fiats, affirmations, and prayers—and it goes forth into fulfillment. But this only occurs when the individual’s inner vehicles are in alignment.

At the moment of true realization, when your seven bodies stand harmonized—your Electronic Body, your Causal Body, your Holy Christ Self, and your emotional, mental, etheric, and physical bodies—when all are unified in spiritual illumination, then a single spoken word is sufficient. In such a moment, all the power of your Causal Body pours through your throat center, and manifestation or precipitation occurs instantly.

This truth was demonstrated by Jesus again and again. He showed it in the manifestation of supply through the coin drawn from the fishes’ mouth, and in every fiat he gave for healing—even the resuscitation of bodies that had passed through so-called death. His word carried instantaneous authority because all his vehicles were perfectly aligned with his God Presence.

Now you may ask: if one word in such alignment is enough, why is repetition so strongly emphasized in Saint Germain’s activity of decrees? The answer lies in your history. Across millions of years you have misused the power of the spoken word, charging your emotional, mental, and etheric bodies with discordant qualities: doubt, fear, rebellion, disillusionment, and many more. These patterns have become deeply embedded, beaten like grooves into your consciousness through centuries of repetition.

Therefore, to undo this accumulation, to shatter and requalify these distorted energies, repetition is required. Repetition charges your bodies with a higher balance of energy, blazing into them with light until the old grooves are broken and new patterns of harmony and perfection are set in place.

The Efficacy of Your Decrees

To requalify the energy stored within your physical, etheric, mental, and emotional bodies, you must deliberately release light into them. This light blazes through those bodies, breaking up the old patterns and replacing them with new ones. The power of your decrees lies not only in what goes out into the ethers but also in what is continually charged into your inner bodies. Through this process, a positive alignment is established, and your entire consciousness comes under the command of faith and the assurance of divine perfection.

Consider how for centuries you have spoken words such as, “I am helpless. I am sick. I am distressed.” Such affirmations, repeated again and again, have created deep grooves within your etheric body. They have been etched into what the world calls the subconscious. These grooves have programmed the etheric vehicle to accept as reality the very conditions you decreed for yourself across many lifetimes.

The same is true of your emotional body, which has been saturated with feelings of discord, and of your mental body, which has absorbed patterns of limitation. A single positive affirmation spoken once upon your lips cannot immediately erase the cumulative records of centuries. You must consciously and persistently drive positive radiation into these bodies. Over time, this sustained action shatters and transmutes the old momentum and replaces it with patterns of divine perfection that can serve your future.

Say to the Flood, “Stop!” And It Will Stop

The very purpose of the activity of the beloved Ascended Master Saint Germain is to help you drive divine energy into yourselves until all your vehicles respond to the higher will. The mental body alone is a very small fraction of your being. But when your mental, etheric, emotional, and physical bodies all respond and cooperate, then your declaration has power.

On that day when all your bodies stand in harmony, you may utter the words, “I AM FREE,” and in that very instant you will be free. Yet understand: for many, such alignment requires persistence. You may need to affirm your freedom again and again until your inner bodies are convinced. For some, however, whose inner vehicles are already highly charged with light, the first call is enough, and manifestation follows at once.

I need not tell you whether your affirmations are producing results—you already know. If manifestation does not appear, it is because somewhere within the inner vehicles there lingers a momentum of doubt. The law cannot be deceived.

But when you reach the point of realization—when all parts of your being are unified—you are master. Then one word from your lips carries authority. You may say to the raging flood, “Stop!” and the waters will obey. You may say to the trembling earth, “Cease!” and the quake will subside. You may speak to the volcano, “Be still!” and it will quiet.

But until all your bodies are in alignment, the law cannot respond fully. To attempt to command manifestation while some vehicles remain “out of gear” is like trying to drive a car on three wheels. The journey would be rough indeed.
